Small Application Integration Specialist

Primary responsibilities include the design, development, implementation, testing, and monitoring of applications and data transfers between small 3rd-party systems.  In addition, tasks will involve substantive database work (Microsoft SQL Server) to support the applications and associated reporting. The developer will be working primarily in a Windows (VP/ASP/C#.Net) environment. The company is a MicroSoft Certified partner; MS Certification(s) preferred.  Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a thorough knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five+ years’ progressively advanced experience developing web/internet applications, with demonstrated proficiency and familiarity with application integration methodologies; must have experience with XML, ETL, and web services. Microsoft certification(s) a plus.
  • Five years’ experience working with SQL server (2005 and later), strong knowledge of SQL relational database concepts, including stored procedures, indexes, relationships, constraints, triggers and DTS; knowledge of optimizing tables, queries, indexes, etc. Experience with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Server preferred, datamart/data warehousing experience a plus.
  • Lives in Portland metro area and is authorized to work in the United States.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (including system documentation), pay attention to detail, and be accountable for their own success.  We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and disciplined, yet flexible enough to be responsive to changing circumstances and requirements. This is a mostly-work-from-home job, but you will need to be available for in-person design sessions and meetings, so personal hygiene does matter. This is a full-time position, but work schedule is also negotiable–within limits. Ultimately, we will select the candidate who meets the basic qualifications and shows the most promise to thrive in our small-company environment and help us grow.

Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
