System Requirements and Security
EdZapp is web-based, hosted, and hassle-free. Our application is delivered over the Internet, and only requires a desktop or laptop computer (Macintosh or Windows), a recent standard browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) and a modest-speed ISP connection to perform properly. The system has been successfully tested on various operating systems including Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X. No district server space or network reconfiguration are required. No scanners or server hardware are needed.
EdZapp’s servers are guaranteed at 99%+ uptime, and we have technicians available 24×7 to ensure physical and network security (including virus protection, firewalls, server monitoring, disaster recovery, etc.), and regular hardware/operating system updates. Other than scheduled updates to the application (generally weekends and non-core business hours), the system is always available.
Support and Training
EdZapp provides technical and customer support via online documentation, email, and telephone for both applicants and districts during normal business hours (8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday), excluding U.S. holidays. Typical response times are less than 2 hours for district inquiries, and 4 hours for applicants during peak seasons.
EdZapp will also supply training manuals and users’ guides, and provide periodic “live” training for district users via the Internet. Depending on your subscription level, on-site training is either included or available for an additional cost.
As districts become acquainted with the application and configure it to suit specific needs, EdZapp support staff are on hand to walk users through those steps or complete those items as necessary. This support is included in annual subscription costs, and is perhaps the top reason why EdZapp has such high customer satisfaction and retention.
